About RSVY (3rd Year): ____________________________ The Plan Document for the implementation of RSVY in Jalpaiguri District was an outcome of intense consultation with Panchayat Bodies, Officers of the Line Departments and Development administrators at different levels. This process was followed in the subsequent years (2nd &3rd). Sectoral schemes were formulated for each year in keeping with the guidelines prescribed by the planning commission and catering to the needs and priorities in different sectors in this district. The district has reached the final year of implementation of RSVY(3rd year). The 3rd year schemes have been judiciously formulated taking in to account the experience and performance of the preceding years. Special emphasis has been given to the sectors like minor irrigation, agriculture, rural infrastructure etc. Out of the Rs.45 cr (allotted sum for 3 years) the district has made a meaningful utilization of Rs Rs.39,90,05,095=00 (Rupees thirty-nine crore ninety lakh five thousand & ninety-five) which accounts to 88.66% of the total received fund till September 2009. as far as the physical progress is concerned out of 216 schemes ,170 stands completed and the rest are nearing completion. |
