Base Line Survey, Documentation, Monitoring and Supervision Works

District Implementation Committee holds regular review meeting once every three months with all the Nodal Officers of the department, the NBU, the NABARD and others. The weakly review meeting chaired by the Sabhadhipati is held every Thursday at the Zilla Parishad. Of and on the officials of the State Development Planning Department have been frequenting the District for field level inspection and interaction with the stake holders. The officials of the Planning Commission of India have also visited and did field validation on RSVY schemes of the District several times. Several higher level dignitaries including his excellency Governor of West Bengal also reviewed RSVY in the year 2005.


Centre for Development Studies North Bengal University is the Nodal Institution has been entrusted with the work of evaluating the Socio Economic Impact of the scheme. Besides the NBU the NABARD has also been doing the evaluation from Economic Analysis or the cost benefit study of the Projects executed. Of let the DIC is considering the involvement of Jalpaiguri Engineering College for Technical Evaluation of the civil works undertaken under RSVY. The NBU and the NABARD in fact has already submitted their report evaluating the schemes undertaken during the 1st year of RSVY implementation.Documentation of all the schemes being considered of utmost importance the District has embarked upon the idea of engaging local NGO SRISTEE for the work of documentation and updating of RSVY website of the District.
